The above map is what the players have seen so far in (what is turning out to be) a campaign of Tomb of Horrors I'm running. I've gone ahead and marked in which color spheres are painted on the wall where, since I know that's like the first thing you're going to ask for. Players, feel free to talk about it, but everyone else should be aware that this is a spoiler-free zone. I know, ToH came out in 1971; blogger's prerogative.

Ah, that brings back memories! I remember when our group first went through ToH. I think we managed to do just about everything wrong. A couple of people made it all the way through to the last room, but they didn't last long. Truly the textbook example of sadistic dungeon design. ;-)

It's been a lot of fun so far. I think every new DM (if not RPGer in general) should run through the ToH; it's such a strong example of tricky dungeons and villians with strong personality-- the whole dungeon really speaks to Acererak's personality in ways you wouldn't think a building normally could.
